Tenants Matter

2010 will be a milestone year for social housing. The Tenant Services Authority will become the regulator of all social housing in April with a new set of regulatory requirements. The Audit Commission's Housing Inspectorate are working up new Key Lines of Enquiry and revised formats for Short Notice Inspections, as well as No Notice Inspections.

Your first annual report to tenants is due by October this year, and by April next year you must have put in place local standards, tenant scrutiny arrangements, and developed plans for the future.
